About SpinChoice

SpinChoice is a free online spin wheel tool built for one simple purpose: to help people make random decisions without friction. No accounts. No downloads. No setup. You open the page, type in your options, and spin.

Why We Built It

Most random pickers on the web are either bloated with features you'll never use, hidden behind paywalls, or stuffed with so many ads that the actual tool feels like an afterthought. We wanted something different — a wheel that loads fast, looks clean, works on any device, and respects your time.

SpinChoice is the result. Every design decision is meant to keep the core experience clear: enter options, spin, get a result. Everything else — weights, sharing, history, settings — is there when you need it and out of the way when you don't.

How It Works

The wheel is drawn with HTML5 Canvas and runs entirely in your browser. When you click Spin, your browser generates a random rotation, and the wheel slows down to a stop using a natural easing curve. Whichever segment lands under the pointer at the top is the winner. There's no preset result and no server involved in the spin itself — the whole thing is computed locally on your device.

Your options and settings are saved to your browser's local storage so they're still there next time you visit. If you click Share, we generate a short link backed by a small server-side store, so anyone with the link can open the same wheel on any device. Shared wheels are kept for 90 days.

Who Uses It

SpinChoice is used by teachers calling on students, streamers running giveaways, families deciding what to eat, managers assigning tasks, and anyone else who's tired of debating choices. It's free for personal and commercial use.

What's Next

SpinChoice is the first tool in the ToolSelect collection — a small set of focused, well-built web utilities. We're adding more tools over time, starting with a Pomodoro timer. The goal is the same for every tool: simple, free, and respectful of your attention.
